How Does Refer, Earn & Save Work?
We've deliberately kept things simple.
When you complete a course with The Security Tutor, we'll invite you to participate in our referral rewards programme by email, where permitted by your communication preferences.
You'll receive a unique referral code that you can share with friends, colleagues or anybody you know who is looking for quality security training.
Every time somebody uses your code to book and successfully complete a qualifying paid course, you'll earn another 5% discount credit.
The more people you refer, the more you can save:
- 1 referral: 5% discount
- 2 referrals: 10% discount
- 3 referrals: 15% discount
- 4 referrals: 20% discount
- 5 referrals: 25% discount
The maximum discount depends on the course you choose: 25% for eligible refresher courses and 15% for eligible full qualifications.
There's no customer portal, no account to create and no passwords to remember. We'll do the hard work for you.
Each time you earn another discount credit, we'll update your balance and send you an email showing exactly how much you've accumulated, subject to your communication preferences.

What If You Want to Progress into Close Protection?
Our rewards aren't limited to refresher training.
Perhaps you're currently working as a Door Supervisor but have ambitions to move into Close Protection. Or maybe you're a Security Guard who's looking to broaden your qualifications and employment opportunities.
Your referral credits can also be redeemed against full qualifications, with a maximum discount of 15%.
For example, our full Close Protection course is currently priced at £2,600 without ECFR. Three successful referrals would earn you a 15% discount, a saving of £390, reducing the course price to £2,210.
Alternatively, our full Close Protection course including ECFR is currently priced at £2,950. Your 15% discount would save you £442.50, reducing the price to £2,507.50.
That's a substantial saving towards a new qualification and a potential new career direction.
And if you've already earned five referral credits but decide to use only three against a full course, your remaining two credits stay available for future qualifying training until they expire.
You've Got 36 Months to Use Your Rewards
One of the biggest benefits of our programme is that you don't have to rush out and book another course immediately.
We recognise that SIA licence holders generally renew their licences every three years.
That's why every 5% discount credit you earn remains valid for 36 months from the date it's awarded.

Each credit has its own expiry date, and we'll keep track of those dates for you.
You Still Receive All Our Normal Course Benefits
Just because you're paying less for training doesn't mean you'll receive less.
Your referral discount will not remove the normal benefits included with your course. Depending on the qualification and advertised package, these may include:
- Training delivered by qualified instructors with current operational experience.
- Learning materials and practical training resources.
- Relevant assessment and certification arrangements.
- Food or refreshments where advertised.
- Complimentary accommodation for eligible learners in accordance with our Fair Commute Accommodation Policy.
- Support and guidance throughout your training.
The discount reduces your course fee, not the quality of your training.
No Complicated Forms, No Customer Accounts, No Hassle
We want referring colleagues to be as straightforward as possible.
Once you've completed your course and received your invitation, you'll have your own referral code.
Simply pass that code to someone who is interested in booking with us. They can quote it when making their enquiry or booking.
Once their qualifying paid course has been completed and their referral verified, we'll update your balance and send you a confirmation email, where you've agreed to receive these updates.
When you're ready to book your next course, quote your code and we'll check your available discount.
You can also opt out of referral programme emails at any time without losing discount credits you've already earned.
When Does the Promotion Run?
Our Refer, Earn & Save promotional campaign runs from 15 October 2026 until 31 March 2027.
Successful referrals recorded during the promotional period can earn credits, subject to the programme's qualification conditions.
Although the campaign closes at the end of March 2027, your earned discount credits remain valid for 36 months from their individual award dates.
That means you could still be redeeming qualifying rewards towards your training in 2029 or 2030.
