The Security Tutor supports training providers in Durham and across County Durham with experienced tutors, assessors and quality-assurance professionals for security, first aid and stewarding qualifications.
Working with providers in Durham
From Durham's heritage events and festivals to licensed premises across the county, local employers rely on a steady pipeline of qualified security staff. Providers here need delivery partners who understand awarding-organisation requirements.
Every assignment is delivered professionally and mapped to your qualification and awarding-organisation requirements, whether you need a full course delivered, an assessor for a day, or an ongoing white-label partnership.
What drives demand in County Durham
County Durham combines a world-famous heritage city with market towns, former coalfield communities and major event venues. Training providers here need delivery partners who can cover a wide rural patch and still meet awarding-organisation standards every time.
A world-famous heritage city
Durham Cathedral and Castle draw visitors all year, and the cathedral quarter keeps the city's venues, colleges and streets busy. Heritage settings need security and stewarding staff who are trained, vetted and professional.
County-wide events
The Durham Miners' Gala remains one of the largest community gatherings in Europe, while the Seat Unique Riverside at Chester-le-Street hosts international cricket and major concerts. Beamish, Bishop Auckland's attractions and festivals across the dales all add to event-security demand.
A university city
Durham University's colleges give the city a busy student night-time economy, while New College Durham and East Durham College support a strong local pipeline of new learners entering the security sector.
Advanced security pathways
County Durham is home to an established Close Protection training presence. Providers running Level 3 programmes need tutors and assessors who can deliver to that standard, and that is exactly the level I work at.
